Location of the House
Our cottage is located in the North of the Charente region, between Poitiers and Angoulême.
This region is situated in the Southwest of France, 750 km from Antwerp and 400 km from Paris.
The cottage is located in a quiet area, surrounded by nature. Forget the daily grind and enjoy the tranquility here.
Nearby cities include Poitiers, Angoulême, Cognac, and a bit further, La Rochelle, Bordeaux, and Limoges.
 
The vacation home has been rated 3 stars by Charente Tourisme.

Culture
In the vicinity, you'll find many picturesque villages, historic cities, castles, Roman sites, churches, and museums.
It's also worth exploring the region's vineyards or tasting local products such as Pineau des Charentes, Cognac, goat cheese, and foie gras.

Sports and Activities
The area around the cottage is perfect for activities such as horseback riding, hiking, cycling, and canoeing.
There are several long walks possible along beautiful sunflower fields and forests.
 
Bicycles are available free of charge for our guests. There are 2 ladies' bikes, 1 men's bike, and 1 mountain bike.
 
Nature
Besides the numerous sunflower fields and forests, the lakes of Haute-Charente are also worth visiting. With its beaches, opportunities for sailing, hiking, cycling, fishing... it's an ideal excursion for the whole family!

Markets and Shops

 
Markets and Supermarkets
Various supermarkets are located 12 km away in the town of Ruffec.
You can find a bakery and grocery store 5 km away in Aunac.
On Wednesday and Saturday mornings, there's a market in Ruffec.
 
Flea Markets and Antique Markets
There are several flea markets in the area during the season.

Angoulême (30 km)
Angoulême is the city of comic books and old paper mills.
Every year in September, there's a vintage car race through the old city (Circuit Des Remparts).
